Halloween!

Happy Halloween!! We had such a fun time over the last week that I had to include all the pictures I took. Here we have Abby trying on her ladybug costume. Abby was so excited that she danced around the house, played in front of the mirror and posed for me. This is probably one of the best pictures of her (even though the tag is still on) because she wouldn't stop moving on Halloween night!

Abby and I made sugar cookies. Abby loved to help mix!

Then we frosted the cookies orange...

Made sure each cookie had the perfect amount of sprinkles...

and tasted each one!!

YUMMMMMM!!!

The next night Abby painted her pumpkin.

She thought it was the best thing! Even better than coloring.

She concentrated so hard and thoughtfully picked each color.

John was amazing and cleaned out my pumpkin for me. He is a professional.

Then I carved my signature pumpkin face!

The next night I made pumpkin/scary faces (thanks to Kenzie's recipe box). Abby helped me with these too. Here they are before the oven.

Here is the after shot on Abby's plate. Notice the two veggies I tried to slip in. They got thrown on the floor immediately.

Then we went to our Ward's Halloween Party/Trunk-or-Treat. This picture is after she filled her bucket and didn't want to stop!

John and I went to a Halloween Party on Saturday night. John went as Eminem and I went as Belle (check out the old prom dress). It was so much fun!!! Thanks Van Sickles!

Here is Abby walking down the street on Halloween night.

I tried to get Abby to say "Trick-Or-Treat" but she always said it before they opened the door. At least she said "Please" while she was digging around in the candy. I also got her to say "Thank you" and "Bye". Everyone thought she was sooooo cute!

Here we have John and Abby posing in front of our pumpkins!

The first treat Abby got was a sucker. She immediately unwrapped it and popped it in her mouth. She then continued to suck on it the rest of the night.

I told Abby to stand still in front of the wall so she plopped right down and smiled for me.

Here she is sitting on the front porch waiting for more kids to come. When they came she would get a treat out of the candy bowl too the little sneak!

I don't know if you can see it but Abby has chocolate all over her face. She kept going to her bucket and saying "Treat, Treat". Abby loved to look inside the pumpkin and see the candle glowing.

Here is a video of Abby on Halloween. She is always moving!

Here is another video of Abby playing outside.

Pumpkin Patch

On October 11th, Abby and I went to the Marble Falls Pumpkin Patch with our friends the Brysons. We had so much fun! Here is a picture fest of our fun time there.

We took a tractor Hayride to get to the big corn maze.

The corn maze was the shape of Texas. There was a punch with 12 different places to find. Here we are heading in!

Abby had so much fun running around and helping find the punch stations.

Kellie helped Abby punch her card!

Natalie, Emma, Dani and Abby proudly showing their punched cards! We made it in 30 minutes!

As a reward for finding all the places in Texas, we got a free drink. Abby loved her water!

The hayride back from the corn maze.
There were pumpkins everywhere!

Abby had to drive the boat herself.

Here is Abby's naughty smile after she just pushed a pumpkin off the truck. She is so proud of herself!
We picked our pumpkins and are heading home. Abby thought the ride was so fun!

Now we can't wait to carve our pumpkins and trick-or-treat!

Abby's 1st Boat Ride

After camping on Friday night, we went Wakeboarding on Saturday morning. This was Abby's first time on a boat. Unfortunately the experience wasn't as fun as we had hoped. There was no dock so we had to swim to the boat. Below is a video of John and Kit trying to get Abby to the boat. The second video is when Abby is on the boat screaming right after. John's face is priceless. Also, listen to John at the end of the clip and see if you can hear what he says. His ideas aren't the best. Here is a picture after Abby calmed down but she still looks quite traumatized! She didn't mind being on the boat once she was dry and snuggling with me. Oh and I jumped the wake!!

Camping

This weekend we went camping for the first time in our marriage! We went with some of our friends from church and celebrated Emma's 9th birthday. Abby thought it was so wonderful to be outside with friends for so long! I brought my camera but unfortunately the battery was dead so here are some pictures from my phone. Here we are in the morning with Abby hanging out in her stroller next to our tent.

We fit our air mattress and Abby's Pack 'n Play in the same tent. Abby went to bed at 9pm but when we came in at midnight she woke up and wanted to sleep with us for the rest of the night. She woke up at 5am with her diaper soaked through. We had to change her whole outfit as she screamed from the cold. We stripped the blanket off the air mattress and John took Abby for a walk to calm her down. Sorry to all the families who had to hear Abby. Thankfully, she went back to sleep until 7:20am when we got up and had a community breakfast of breakfast tacos, pancakes and fruit. Yum yum! Abby loved to crawl in and out of the tent.

Abby ran around in her pajamas and acted like she owned the place.

Thank you to Kellie who watched Abby for us while I went wakeboarding on Friday and then left to play softball in our co-ed league. Abby loves Kellie so much that she prefers Kellie and calls her Mommy even when I'm around. On Saturday morning, we took Abby for a boat ride on the Gonzales' boat. I'll blog about that later with a video and some pictures. It was quite the ordeal. More to come!

Isa's Birthday Party

Abby's friend, Isabelle, has her 2nd birthday party about a month ago. It was a Princess Tea Party. There were about 6 little girls and they had so much fun! First, there was a princess story. Then they all got to jump on an indoor blow up jumpy. After that was a tea party with butterfly shaped sandwiches. Abigail asked for 6 refills on her tea cup. She just loved it so much!

Abby and Isa love each other!

Thank you for letting us come over and have such a fun time!!

The Story of a Little Lady

Once upon a time, there was a little lady named Abigail. She thought she was so big and grown up that she sneakily took her mom's makeup and put it on.
What an amazing eyeliner job!

She even tries on friends boots and walks around to see if they suit her. They usually look better on her too (maybe a little big but one can't be too choosy).

One day, Abigail decided that she was tired of staying home with her mom. She wanted to go to school with the rest of the kids. Abigail got quickly dressed, put her trusty hat on and posed for a picture (there is always time to document your divalishous styles).

Out the door Abigail went.

When Abigail saw some chalk on the porch, she had to stop and play of course! Unfortunately, the hat was in the way so that was taken off and put in safe keeping with mom.

Abigail quickly remembered her original course, grabbed her favorite purse to accessorize and posed for another quick snapshot.

Abigail ran down the driveway, crossed the street (without looking both ways naughty girl) and waved goodbye with a few kisses for luck.

Abigail hurried along swinging her arm as she goes.

Finally she arrived at the bus stop! Abigail waited, blew a few kisses and laughed at her silly mom taking pictures.

Once it became clear that the bus must have forgotten her, Abigail decided to go home, play with her mom and stay home for a few months more.
THE END

John's Triathlon

Since John watched Abby while I put on my big triathlon on Labor Day, he did one 2 Saturdays ago with our friend Glenn. Here they are together after the race!

Unfortunately, John's quad cramped up so he had to stop and stretch for 10 minutes in the middle of the run. Here he is finishing the race! What a hottie!

We have had so much fun with the triathlons that we did one again 2 days ago! This time both John and I participated while our good friend Kellie watched Abby for us. Thank you Kellie!
