We took Cali home on August 28th and I couldn't wait to get back into the routine of things. My mom was in town for a while and the girls just wanted to play with her so I got a lot of alone time with baby Cali. Of course the girls wanted to hold her all the time so everyone took turns throughout the day. John ended up cancelling his trip to Utah so it turns out I was induced for no reason but I was glad to have my baby!
Cali had her first doctors appointment on August 30th where she weighed 6lbs. 13oz. and was 18 inches long. Just about the same as when she was born. She is under the 20th percentile for everything.
Cali understood day and night right away so that made life a little easier. She is a snuggle baby from the beginning so if I want to take a nap all I have to do it lie down with her and we are both asleep.
Cali enjoyed her first bath. Her belly button came off within the first week.
She is so cute with her blue eyes and blond hair that I can't take enough pictures of her.
I always forget how little babies are when they are first born. Cali is getting big quickly, just like her two big sisters.
I walked in to Cali's room to find Katie talking to her while she slept. Katie then proceeded to climb into Cali's crib. I'm in trouble!
Cali had her first blowout on September 5th.
The girls love to help bath Cali.
Abby started preschool again on the 9th and was so excited to go back to school!
Cali smiled for the first time on September 12th and again on the 16th.
Abby went to play at a friends house on Friday the 13th and our own horror story came true. She cut her friends hair and her friend cut hers!! It was so long and beautiful but the front is now cut shorter than her shoulder in parts. As bad as her was, poor Mary Katherine's hair was cut almost to her head on one side. Needless to say, we had a long talk about cutting hair and anything else that isn't paper.
So we went to Snip-It's and Abby got her hair cut short. She cried and cried when I said we had to cut all her hair off but when we got there she was so excited. They put a ribbon in her hair and sprayed it was yummy smelling hair spray so she was in little girl heaven.
Cali is so social. She loves to look at whoever is holding her and smile. She is such a happy and chill baby. She is the perfect third child and makes life so much easier than it could be. Abby has turned out to be a great helper getting diapers and helping Katie with drinks and other things she might need.
Katie is determined to stay a toddler but falls asleep anywhere! She is too funny! But as soon as I brought baby home and she started getting less attention Katie decided to start talking....finally! She has been saying at least 4 new words a day and is stringing sentences together. It just took a new baby to get her to start talking.
Abby is loving our new swing set and plays outside every moment she gets. Once again Katie just falls asleep wherever!
The playhouse is still a hit and the neighbors love to play in it too!
Cali is getting so big and chunky! I love her cheeks!
