Food Fight

After every bite, Abby sucks her thumb for a little bit. I try to keep her thumbs out of her mouth but it's impossible! So I guess I'll just have to spray her off after every feeding.

Wicked

We went to see Wicked last Tuesday and it was AMAZING! Even John enjoyed it and he especially likes the two songs that are on the playlist. We went with our friends the Jensens and had awesome seats. Thank you State Farm for the tickets!

6 Months Old!

Yesterday, my baby girl became 6 months old! I can't believe it. The time has really flown by. Here she is ready to go! Abby goes everywhere. She now likes the tile in the kitchen and comes in there every time I'm cooking. She still does her army crawl but starts out on all fours. Abigail loves our bed too. Everyday I throw her on our comforter and I let her roll/crawl all over me while I tickle her and cover her in zerberts. She can't stop laughing and smiling. My favorite thing is when Abby sees me come into the room, she gets so excited and beelines straight for me. I am clearly the favorite parent right now. If it's between daddy or mommy, I always win. But John can't feel too bad because Abby looks exactly like him! Abigail is such a joy and we love her so much!

Good Morning Sweetheart!

I love going into Abby's room after she wakes up in the morning or after a nap and seeing her cute face. She is a drama queen already! She cries her little heart out, buries her face in her bed and kicks her legs. The instant I open her door she stops immediately and practically jumps to the edge to see me. Then she is all smiles unless I don't get her out of her crib quick enough.

Here she is all smiles when I first come into her room. She looks so much like John in this picture!

Now she is all confused as to why I haven't taken her out yet. Abby's hair is so fine she has bedhead after every nap! Can you tell which side she slept on?

So Fresh and So Clean

We had just come home from the pool and it was bath time so I took these pictures of Abby. She is just too cute in all these suds!

Austin Night Life

This weekend one of my high school friends came into town. We hung out with Eric and Katie Leach on Saturday night and took them downtown. First we checked out the 1.5 million bats that live under the Congress bridge then went to dinner at this scary looking chinese restaurant. It ended up being pretty good. Then we went to 6th street and listened to some live music. Here is a picture of me and Katie with an amazing guitarist who looks like a girl in this picture but it's really a man. John and I had fun and we hope we showed Eric and Katie a good time too!

Food Fun!

Abigail is starting to eat solids. One day I let her play with her rice cereal and get her hands all dirty. She absolutely loved it! As you can see from the picture below, most of it ended up on her rather than in her mouth but we had lots of fun! She now eats sweet potatoes, rice cereal, oatmeal and watered down apple juice. She is finally taking a bottle again and is happy as can be!

Abby made her first squeal of happiness/excitement yesterday. We were playing and laughing and she made her cute little sound of happiness. It was so wonderful! I can't believe I have been blessed with such a happy and vocal baby!
