Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

On Tuesday, February 23rd it snowed in Austin, Texas! Everyone here had so much fun! We went out side in the morning and Abby about died! Here we are freezing from the cold! I love Abby's shocked face!

Here is our backyard covered in a couple inches of snow.

Grandma and Grandpa Quiggle built a snowman and Abby was a little scared to get too close.

Here we are pre-snowman.

Grandma put a pan in the backyard to catch the snow and Abby had so much fun eating it! She threw a fit when I took it away.

The crazy thing is it was over 70 degrees on Sunday and 25 degrees on Tuesday! Austin weather is too much fun!

An Angel's Halo....

oh wait, it's just Abby with a bad hair day.

Birthday Dinner

John and I went to Benihana for my birthday dinner.

I also had to add a picture of Abby after her birthday party in front of her loot! Our friends got her this little dog and she hugs it, pets it, and carries it everywhere. What a lucky girl!

Party!

We had Abby's birthday party at Brushy Creek Park. It was raining until 10:30am so we were getting worried that we would be rained out! Luckily it stopped raining and stayed around 60 degrees. We wiped down the tables and playground and got our party on! Here are some pictures from the event.

Bruce, Grandma Quiggle, and Abby playing games!

Abby's BFF Andi giving Abby a hug! Earlier, Abby had tackled Andi with a hug.

Abby went down the slide for her first time! She loved it!

The "Girls" Esther, Claudia, and Tannie watching the action.

Abby playing in sand for the first time. Can you believe she didn't play in sand until she was 1?!

Abby didn't want to hit the pinata. She just wanted to touch it and stare.

Abby with Tina watching all the kids hitting the pinata. There were so many cute pictures of the kids going crazy with the pinata but for the sake of space I forfeited their pictures.

Candy!

Looking at her cake.

"Blowing" out the candles. It was too windy to actually have any stay lit.

We had so many friends come to the party. Neighbors, co-workers, family, and friends! Thank you for coming and making it a special day for us!

Abby's 1st Birthday

Abby turned 1 on Friday, February 21st! We went to dinner at Brick Oven on Thursday to celebrate and had yummy Italian food. Abby got her own plate heaped with bread to play with and eat. She kept smiling and laughing thinking she was so big. Here we are at dinner!

Grandma and Grandpa Quiggle had fun too!

Then on Friday night we opened Abby's presents. She was a little confused at first but quickly got into it!

After presents we got naked! Oh wait, Abby got naked! We put her own cupcake in front of her and let her go crazy. She was actually quite tame! She first played with the frosting and rubbed it between her hands,

ripped it in little pieces,

wiped it across her body,
wanted to feed mommy,
got a little concerned as to how many calories she was eating,
then decided it was alright to eat!
Abby splashed in the bathtub after and thought it was the best day ever!

Erika's Wedding!

On February 6th, one of my best friends from San Diego got married. I was a bridesmaid so I flew to Seattle Friday night all by myself, no Abby or John! There I was picked up by Cami (Konold) Cutler and her husband Quinn. Adam and Jamee Tibbitts very graciously allowed me to stay at their house and hangout with them on Saturday. We had lots of fun and went to picture park where we posed for a few pictures.

After this picture we hurried an hour north for Erika's wedding. She was married in a historic home and it was absolutely beautiful. Erika was so excited and looked amazing! Here is the bride!

We had so much fun taking pictures and just being together before the wedding.

Congratulations Erika!!
