I just had to post this picture of John because he is too cute while sleeping. You can tell he has been watching sports because the remote is still held possesively in his hand.

Cancun Trip Continued!
I am going to finally finish my post of Cancun! Yea!!!

Day 4
We went to XCaret which is like a water park but without the slides and stuff. Instead you can swim with dolphins, scuba dive, snorkle, go to the beach, there's a zoo, underground rivers, etc. We decided it would be a leisurely day of just drifting down the river, hanging out on the beach and seeing the sites. We first drifted down the underground river with our snorkle gear and it was cold but refreshing on a h
ot day. We saw lots of sinkholes and John had a lot of fun exploring around. At the end there were lots of fun colored fish to see. After that we were starving for lunch so we ate at a Mexican buffet. There was a Mariachi band playing to serenade us and the food was good. Next we explored the zoo areas and saw cheetahs, cougars, and panthers. Then we went and saw hundreds of butterflies in the butterfly enclosure. We were hot again by then so we went to the beach and floated in innertubes. By now it was getting late so we got ready for the Mayan Extravaganza! We watched a horse show to pass the time then went to the Theater. The show was amazing. If you go to XCaret don't miss the show!
Day 5
Today we decided to take it easy and just hangout on the beach and at the resort. After a leisurely day of napping and tanning, we went to downtown Cancun and realized it wasn't really the place for 4 white Americans at night (although John was loving it and reliving his mission in Santiago). We grabbed a taxi and headed back into the tourist area and were safe for the rest of the night.
Day 6
We went to Chichen Itza next. Chichen Itza are Mayan Ruins, one of the new seven wonders of the world. It was interesting to see the architecture and try to make connections and imagine places in the Book of Mormon.
Day 7
We went on the Jungle Tour in the morning and got to drive out own boats, John and I in one with Mom and Dad in another. Dad got all crazy and was cutting us off and breaking all the rules but that's to be expected if you know my dad. We then went to a reef and anchored the boats and snorkled for about 1 hour. We saw a lobster, trumpet fish, baracuda, lots of o
ther colorful fish and I'm pretty sure I saw stingray on the floor. I was too scared to get any closer so I kept going. We then just hung out until our pirate ship dinner! We boarded the ship with Captain Hook and had so much fun dancing and singing with the crew and passengers. John was picked to represent the USA so he had a dancing competition with other men representing their countries. When it came to the beer drinking competition he graciously stepped down and gave the spot to another man. We got as many Miami Vices as we wanted and had an amazing lobster dinner. After dinner I got up and sang ACDC's You Shook Me All Night Long and received an encore which I declined. Then Captain Barbosas Ship attacked our ship and the crews were swinging from ropes back and forth between the ships and fighting with real metal swords! Sparks were flying and Captain Jack Sparrow made an appearance. It was so much fun! It was a perfect ending to our week in Cancun.
Day 8
Today we woke up and had to go home. It was sad but I was kind of glad because it was so humid down there you feel damp a lot of the time. After saying goodbye to mom and dad we boarded our airplane and made it home with no problem. Cancun was so much fun that I would recommend everyone to take a vacation there!
Bargain Corner
So my sister-in-law Kenzie puts her fabulous purchases where she saved lots of money on her blog. I thought I would follow suit and put my purchase of my new coach purse on here. Now anyone who knows me knows that I hate to spend money. John has been bugging me to get a new purse because my other one is falling apart (which I have loved thanks to Tina). We were at the outlets yesterday and decided to step into the coach
store. They had sales going on of 30, 40, 50% off purses and other items! So this purse was originally priced at $269 marked down to $199 at the regular outlet price. Then it was 75% off because one of the snaps is broken on the side (decorative rather than functional). I thought well I don't care I'm getting it! So I bought a $269 coach purse for $50! I was so excited so if anyone in Austin wants to head over to coach their sale might still be going on! Happy Shopping!
