So in May when we went to San Diego, some sand on the camera. It has been temperamental since then and for the last 2 weeks, the lens will not come out. I think it has finally told me to get it fixed or buy a new one. So what would you say? Is it worth it to get the camera fixed (economical) or just buy a new one? I'm so bummed because there have been so many picture moments with Abby. I'll just give an Abby update with no pictures (boooo).
Abby is just full of personality and doing new things everyday. She says around 15 words now (which you can really understand) and is getting 2 more bottom teeth. I bought the leapster ABC thing for the fridge and she LOVES it. Abby can now "sing" the ABC's through P. When I say she sings the ABC's I mean she gets the tune perfect. She even gets the vowel sounds right but no real consonance sounds. I need to get it on video and post it here but she breaks into song so randomly. Abby has been battling the 2 naps everyday and is now officially down to 1 nap a day. She will sleep from 7pm-8am though so that makes our nights and mornings great!
I bought Abby arm floaties for in the pool. She thinks she is the coolest thing ever now. She will jump right in and "swim" around with her floaties on. She will be in 4 feet of water and not want me to be with her. Abby kicks her legs while I hold her belly up to go back to the steps or she will just put her head back and float on her back for a while. She never ceases to amaze me.
Abby has turned into a great kisser. She gives me kisses and hugs for no reason. When she is naughty and knows it, she comes to me with a kiss and hug as if to say "Sorry". Disciplining Abby is hard right now because she is so close to understanding everything but still isn't quite there yet. When we raise our voices at her it hurts her feelings more than a little pat on the bum. She will start crying and run to me or John for a hug.
An update on me.... I have a new church calling. I was released from Relief Society Secretary to be in the Junior Nursery! I am both happy and sad at the same time. Abby comes to nursery with me and has the best time. She doesn't even get jealous when other kids sit on my lap or I hold them. The toys are too fun to care about Mom. If another kid pushes or hits her she acts like "okay, whatever" and just goes about something else. She is so good to not push or hit back. Abby is so loving and sweet that she tries to hug all her friends in nursery but most of the time they just push her away while she's trying to hold on. It is the cutest thing. Hopefully I will have some pictures to come in the future!
