Abby made her first squeal of happiness/excitement yesterday. We were playing and laughing and she made her cute little sound of happiness. It was so wonderful! I can't believe I have been blessed with such a happy and vocal baby!

Food Fun!
Abigail is starting to eat solids. One day I let her play with her rice cereal and get her hands all dirty. She absolutely loved it! As you can see from the picture below, most of it ended up on her rather than in her mouth but we had lots of fun! She now eats sweet potatoes, rice cereal, oatmeal and watered down apple juice. She is finally taking a bottle again and is happy as can be!

Our Mobile Mini
Abby has finally learned to scoot! All the hours getting her legs under her and doing nothing has paid off! On Sunday, July 19th, Abigail got on her elbows and pulled herself towards her toy. We made her go about 6 feet total. I love how she looks at what she wants and goes after it. I can't believe my little girl is growing up so fast! Here is a little video of her going after paper from today.

The 3rd of July
Since our subdivision put on a firework show on July 3rd, we decided to celebrate the 4th one day early. We went to our friend Bruce's house to swim and bbq in the afternoon. Abby loved the pool as always and we played games and had fun with his kids and friends. That evening everyone treked over to our house and we walked to the golf course to get a good view of the fireworks. Here we are walking down the street getting all fired up!

Abby didn't get scared by the fireworks or the noise at all. She sat in her car seat and watched the fireworks go off. I turned her around to take a picture.

It was a really good show with music and a nice crowd. Of course it was hot but what do you expect in July in Texas?
More Pictures
Here are more pictures that have taken a while to get on here from the Utah Trip.
I was able to see Mindi, one of my roommates from college, and her sweet baby Corinne. She was visiting at the same time so our daughters finally got to meet!! They are 5 weeks apart and Abby looks quite a bit bigger!
One day Abby will grow up and marry a nice young man. Why not try to match her with a son from one of our friends?! Here we have Abby getting nice and cozy with Blake. It looks like he already has a possessive grip on her shirt but watch out! There are other boys fighting for Abby!

Swing, Swing, Swing
Abby went on her first swing at my sister Julie's house. She loved it! She was smiling and just relaxing the whole time. Here she is during her first swing ride!

Looks like we will be getting a swing very soon!! Abby loves being outside so it will be nice to push her while relaxing, reading a book, or just visiting with neighbors!
Cache Valley Triathlon
I went to Utah in June to visit family, do a triathlon, and use my free ticket before it expired. I decided to do a triathlon after having Abby as my get in shape motivation (I have not worked out since the triathlon! Need to sign up for another one). It was Wendy's, my sister, first triathlon. We rented wetsuits because the website said the water was supposed to be around 70 degrees. Here we are trying them on and getting our fish faces ready!

Finally the run! I performed some tricky leaps for my family. Here I am getting ready to execute one leap.

Here we go swimming in the freezing 60 degree water! You couldn't breath because the water just sucked the oxygen out of you! People were backstroking, sidestroking just trying to get through the swim!!
My sister-in-law, Kenzie, took this great picture of me on the bike!

Overall I had a lot of fun. I didn't train as much as I should have but it was hard to find the time with Abby and life! Wendy kicked my hiney but I'm just glad I finished! I would like to thank my family who came out to support us: My parents who took care of Abby during the race, Kenzie for her awesome still photos and the amazing trip to pick up my rental bike, Aaron Tibbitts for having the insight to rent wetsuits, Aaron Quiggle for hosting us, and Julie, Spence and all the children as our cheering section!
Abby Update
Abby is now 4 months old. At her 4 month check up she was 25 inches long and 13lbs. 11.5oz. She got her shots again and was so sad about those but I didn't cry this time! Abby can roll over both ways now and she is getting good at grabbing and holding things. Right now everything goes in her mouth!! I think she is teething because she's been running a slight temperature, gnawing on everything, and her gums are rough, popping up and whiter in color. Overall, Abby has been a happy baby and so good adjusting to all the different places we have been traveling to. Here are some pictures of Abby from the month of June.
